It was Gladys's Birthday party on Sat. night at Lefty's in Qualicum.

Camp Moorecraft

Saturday Mary Lois and Miki arrived in PV, and we all went to Camp Moorecroft to honour the final day it is open and to hope that the TLC will be successful in purchasing the property and keeping the long history of a wonderful kids summer camp alive.

Right on the ocean, there are great swimming areas, cute cabins, a craft house, a dining hall, a boathouse, and a forest chapel.

Lovely wooded paths wander around the property.

Moorecroft has been providing summer camp experiences for kids for many years, and hopefully will continue to do so.

R & R

Maggie, Ingrid and I went off to Nanaimo and area to do some exploring. First we went to the Labyrinth on the mountain.

We all did our walks, sorted out our issues and left feeling refreshed and peaceful.

Next stop was Westwood Lake, which has a wonderful walking path around it as well. Motor free, it would be a lovely place to swim in the summer, with lots of nice picnic areas and swimming docks.

It was a nice sunny day so we enjoyed sitting on the beach and soaking up the sun.
